The Total Defence Challenge 2026 is a virtual walking and running challenge commemorating 42 years of Total Defence. Participants complete 42km within the official race period - (Fri, 13 Feb 2026 — Tue, 31 Mar 2026) to unlock all six Defence Pillars. The 42km may be completed in a single continuous activity or cumulatively across multiple activities.
The Defence Pillars represent the six key foundations of Total Defence. Each pillar is unlocked digitally as you progress through the 42km challenge, symbolising resilience, unity, and national readiness.
Simply register online,complete the registration form, and confirm payment. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email and access to your participant dashboard.
This is a fully virtual challenge. You may complete your walks or runs anywhere during the official race period.
Track your runs or walks using any of your preferred fitness apps or devices. Then submit your activity manually through your dashboard by uploading your activity details or a screenshot as supporting proof.
Yes. Eligible participants will receive official Total Defence Challenge 2026 physical entitlements, based on the category selected during registration.
All physical items will be shipped after 14 February 2026. Orders placed after 2 February 2026 may be dispatched after 23 February 2026 due to the festive season. Tracking details will be provided once dispatch begins.
Yes. A live leaderboard ranks participants based on total distance completed during the official race period.
Registrations are generally non-refundable and non-transferable. Please refer to the official Terms & Conditions for full details.
Race entitlements and merchandise sizes are non-exchangeable.. All items are custom made to order based on the size selected during registration. Participants are advised to refer carefully to the sizing chart before confirming their order.
